Sony Ericsson Announces T700
Sony Ericsson today announced the launch of its new T700 phone. It is a continuation of the T610 line and is very slim at just 10mm thick. It is equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera, self-portrait mirror and has a 2 inch TFT display. The T700 has stereo speakers and comes with a color matched headset. It also comes with a 512MB memory card that is expandable. The camera can record video and has up to 3X digital zoom. It is also capable of video calling (depending on your operator of course). The T700 allows for high speed sharing, either through your operator network or via Bluetooth.

Sony Ericsson Unveils W902 and W595 Walkman Phones
Sony Ericsson today announced two new additions to its Walkman line of phones: the W902 and the W595. The W902 is a bar style phone while the W595 is a slider. Both feature large scratch resistant 2.2" QVGA displays. The W902 and W595 were designed so the user wouldn't have to choose between multi-media capabilities and imaging functionality. According to Ben Padley, Head of the Music Category at Sony Ericsson, "We all want more from our mobile phones than ever before... Sony Ericsson Launches C905 Cyber-shot, S302 Snapshot Camera Phones
Sony Ericsson today unveiled its most advanced camera phone to date in the C905 Cyber-shot along with the more affordable S302 Snapshot. The C905 is a slider that resembles a digital camera and features an 8.1 megapixel camera with a Xenon flash, while the S302 has a 2 megapixel camera and is more affordable, but still has all the bells and whistles anyone who takes and shares lots of photos would want.

Newsletter Reveals Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 Launch Date
A recent newsletter from Handango, Sony Ericsson's partner in the XPERIA X1 project, revealed the approximate launch date for the highly anticipated phone:

Sony Ericsson Unveils the Z780 HSDPA Phone
Sony Ericsson today announced two new HSDPA phones - the clamshell style Z780 and the bar style G502. According to director of global marketing and head of multimedia web at Sony Ericsson, Martin Winkler, "these two phones are quite distinct, yet both have the potential to introduce more users to the world of web on your mobile... Being able to check your email whenever you like or surf the web when on-the-move should not just be the preserve of professionals. The Z780 and the G502 will appeal to anyone juggling a busy life."

Sony Ericsson P5 'Paris' Revealed
Earlier this week some photos of the long awaited Sony Ericsson P5i were leaked. Although the P5 officially remains unofficial, these pics shed some light on the enigmatic high end smartphone that many are calling the "Paris." The Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog was able to procure an official product video of the P5 and, though they aren't allowed to show it yet, they were able to release some still shots.

The stills reveal that the P5 is a slider with a large (maybe 2.8" VGA) touch screen. It is expected to have a P1 style keypad below the display. The P5 will also feature the brand new UIQ 3.3 user interface for the Symbian platform. The phone is also expected to sport a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and a flash. Sony Ericsson's T303 Slider Appeals to Broader Audience
In an effort to reach a wider audience Sony Ericsson today unveiled the T303 compact slider phone. It has a chic, high-end appearance with a mirrored screen, metal housing and a chrome finish without the high-end price tag to match, according to Ericsson's press release.

According to Lykke Tærsbøl, Senior Designer at the Sony Ericsson Creative Design Centre, the T303 combines "premium finish and materials with a good feature-set to deliver ‘style with substance’," and the "balance between shape and size in combination with the design makes it a truly eye-catching
Sony Ericsson Adopts New Nomenclature System
If you've been wondering about the unusual model numbers of some of Sony Ericsson's latest products it is because, as announced today, they are using a new nomenclature system that will implement several major changes.

For starters, the "i" -symbol will no longer be used as a suffix on any devices. In fact, the full Sony Ericsson portfolio already has eight different handsets without the "i" tag. The "a" and "c" suffixes will remain to designate model versions for the American and Chinese markets respectively.
Model names will begin with a capital letter that denoting the type of phone. "C" denotes the popular Cyber-shot series that consists of camera-centric phones. "S", which formerly denoted slider/swivel
Sony Ericsson's Experia X1 will run on Windows Mobile 6.1
Since the unveiling of Sony Ericsson's Experia X1 at the Mobile World Congress last week people have been speculating about its operating system. Most figured it must be running on Windows Mobile 6 Professional OS, but this couldn't be verified since members of the press were not allowed to touch the device. Sony Ericsson was very tight-lipped about the hardware as well.
